There's a color for how you feel right now. You might not know its name but that's what this event is for.

In this intimate workshop, you'll use metaphorical cards as color and emotion decoders and oil pastels as your tool. You'll create a series of small abstract pieces that together become a portrait of where you are in this particular moment and what motivates you to move forward.

Inspired by the emotional intensity of Rothko's color fields and the luminous work of contemporary abstract artists, each piece begins not with an idea but with a bodily reaction. A spontaneous reach for the colors that catch your eye first, is from where we start.

Metaphorical cards help us foster the process and get answers along the way, inspire new layers of colours and meaning. Oil pastel blending and mark-making techniques are shown in the meantime to help you achieve the effect you want.

You regulate how deep you want this process to become, no pressure to open up or discuss your insights, you are allowed to simply feel the color vibrations and the joy of creating. You'll leave with one or more artworks, stained fingers, and a changed state of mind and spirit.

No art experience needed, just a desire to play and experiment!
